About the History Behind Camelot Bowl in Collinsville Illinois
Bowling for Everyone and Any Occasion Collinsville Illinois
We offer a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. Camelot Bowl is a 32-lane bowling alley that can accommodate companies, groups, leagues, and the individual looking to bowl a game or two. All 32 lanes are equipped with new state-of-the-art automatic scoring systems to keep score of how each player is bowling to prevent scoring errors. We also rent out our lounge space. If you are hosting a bowling party for your child’s birthday, you will have a private place to sit with adults.
The story of Camelot Bowl has been passed down for five generations. It all started back in the day when my great, great, great grandfather, Frank Hartman, opened and operated Hartman Recreation. This was a two-lane bowling center: easy to manage, but hard to serve everyone who wanted to bowl back in 1912. After Frank, the center was passed down to Charles, his great-grandson Arthur, then Artie, and finally to great-great-grandsons, Brent and Robb. Our family started with two-lane center turned it into a ten-lane creation, and now we are proud to boast 32 lanes as Camelot Bowl.

After a fun afternoon or evening of bowling, everyone gets a little hungry. Camelot Bowl knows this, so we partnered with Imo’s Pizza to be inside our building to help satisfy our bowlers’ ravenous appetite after bowling. So order that “square beyond compare” and grab a seat in our King Arthur’s Den Lounge. We have a full-service bar to go along with your pizza. Sit down, enjoy that slice of pizza, a cold beverage, and watch any sporting event you want. Our lounge has ten big-screen TVs so you never miss a Blues, Cardinals, or, coming in winter of 2020, St. Louis Battlehawks game. If there is no game on TV, no worries; we have a pool table and video poker for the adults located in the lounge.
